Holiday In Scotland - Fishing

Banton Loch is within walking distance and is a popular fishing venue for those seeking to pit their wits against trout in a freshwater loch.

Within easy driving distance are both Swanswater Fishery and the North Third Trout Fishery. Both these are set in the hills between Bramblebank and Stirling - you can travel through the country roads enjoying some scenery as you go or elect to travel via the motorway to Stirling and then only a short trip through the country roads — either route takes around 20 minutes, the longer distance of the motorway being offset by the higher travel speeds.

Alternatively, you can also opt for Menteith Fisheries which is situated at Lake Of Menteith, a site of special scientific interest, and which has the ruins of the 13th century Inchmahome Priory on the largest of the Lake's three islands.
